Changing the oil in the transfer case
Transfer case fluid replacement
Fluid meeting manufacturer specifications
AWD and 4WD system service
Inspection for leaks and drivetrain condition
The transfer case is responsible for distributing torque between the front and rear axles in AWD and 4WD systems. Inside the unit there are chains, gears and clutches that operate under constant load, which makes fluid condition very important. Over time the fluid loses its protective properties and may become contaminated with wear particles. During service we use fluid that meets the manufacturer's specifications and inspect the transfer case for leaks or abnormal noises. Regular fluid replacement helps extend drivetrain life and ensures proper operation of the all wheel drive system.
