Cleaning the intake manifold and throttle body

Over time carbon deposits and oil residue build up inside the engine intake system. This happens due to the operation of the crankcase ventilation system and the EGR system. As a result, the intake manifold and throttle body become contaminated, which can lead to unstable idle speed, delayed throttle response, and reduced engine performance. We clean the intake manifold and throttle body, remove carbon deposits, and inspect the intake passages. On some engines these components are easily accessible, while on others partial disassembly of the intake system may be required. Because of this, the final labor cost can vary depending on the engine design and is calculated individually.
