Heater system cleaning
Over time the heater core inside the vehicle's heating system can accumulate corrosion particles, sediment, and other contamination from the cooling system. These deposits gradually restrict the small passages inside the heater core, reducing coolant flow through the heat exchanger. When this happens the cabin heater may produce weak heat, airflow from the vents may feel only slightly warm, or the vehicle interior may take much longer to warm up. Flushing the heater core helps remove buildup and restore proper coolant circulation through the heater system. This procedure often improves heater performance without the need to replace the heater core, which in many vehicles requires extensive dashboard removal. Once the internal passages are cleaned, the heater core can transfer heat more efficiently and restore proper cabin heating performance.
