EVAP system diagnostics typically begins with a computer analysis of system parameters. The engine control module continuously monitors fuel tank pressure, purge valve operation, vent valve function, and sensor signals within the EVAP system. Our technicians connect professional diagnostic equipment and analyze live data in real time. This allows us to evaluate how the pressure sensors respond, how the purge and vent valves operate, and whether the system pressure values match factory specifications. This parameter-based diagnostic approach helps identify the root cause of the issue even when the leak is extremely small and difficult to detect visually. After analyzing the data, additional component tests are performed to accurately determine the cause of the Check Engine warning and properly repair the system.
