Installation of license plates and brackets

Installing license plates or plastic license plate frames is usually a simple task that does not require complicated work. When a vehicle comes to our shop for service, such as an oil change or any other maintenance, and the customer asks us to install a license plate frame or bracket, we typically perform this installation free of charge. However, there are situations where the factory mounting points are damaged. For example the plastic inserts where the screws go may be missing, or the threaded mounting points inside the trunk lid or bumper may be stripped. In these cases minor mechanical repair may be required to properly secure the plate. We restore the mounting points, install proper fasteners, and make sure the license plate is firmly attached so it will not loosen or fall off due to vibration, wind, or water while driving. This is important because driving without a license plate in New York can result in a traffic ticket.
