Maintenance of brake mechanisms
Brake pads and rotors inspection
Cleaning and servicing of brake components
Brake caliper and guide pin inspection
Brake fluid level and condition check
Brake mechanism maintenance is not very common in New York, and many drivers continue driving until the brake pads or rotors are fully worn out. Over time dirt accumulates inside the brake components, caliper guide pins may begin to corrode, lubrication dries out, and rubber dust boots lose elasticity. In our shop this type of service is recommended during routine maintenance when needed to help prevent sticking components and premature brake wear. It becomes especially important for vehicles equipped with expensive brake systems such as ceramic brakes or high cost brake rotors. The final service cost may vary depending on the vehicle design and the overall condition of the brake components.
