After a collision, wiring in hybrid vehicles - including high-voltage harnesses - can be damaged even if the vehicle appears normal from the outside. High-voltage cables often run to components such as the rear drive unit, electric motor, or transmission, and they can be stressed or damaged during an impact. Over time connectors and terminals may also develop corrosion due to moisture and road conditions. At FIX SERVICE we inspect the condition of high-voltage cables, connectors, and insulation, and we also measure cable resistance and insulation integrity to make sure the system is operating safely. In some situations sections of the wiring can be repaired, but if the damage is significant the safest solution is replacing the affected harness.
