Repair/replacement of seat actuators

Power seat adjustment is not installed on every vehicle and depends heavily on the trim level and equipment package. Higher trim levels typically include more electronic comfort features, which may include power seat adjustment systems, while base models often use manual seat adjustments. In vehicles equipped with power seats, small electric motors and actuators control seat movement such as forward and backward travel, seat height, seatback angle, and sometimes lumbar support. Over time these motors or internal mechanisms may wear out, become stuck, or fail due to electrical or mechanical problems. When this happens the seat may stop moving in one direction or lose its adjustment function entirely. At FIX SERVICE we diagnose the seat adjustment system and repair or replace faulty actuators or motors when necessary. In many cases partial seat disassembly is required to access the internal mechanism. After the repair is completed all seat adjustment functions are tested to ensure proper operation.
