Replacement of exhaust mounts and hangers

Exhaust mounts and hangers support the muffler and exhaust pipes underneath the vehicle and keep the exhaust system properly positioned. These mounts typically include metal brackets welded to the exhaust components and rubber hangers that absorb vibration. Over time corrosion, vibration, and road conditions can cause the metal brackets to crack or break away from the exhaust pipe. In many cases the most practical repair is welding the mount back onto the exhaust system rather than replacing the entire muffler assembly.
