Exhaust connection repair
An exhaust system is made up of several separate sections such as the front pipe, resonator section, mid-pipe, and muffler. In many situations only one portion of the system becomes damaged or corroded and can be replaced individually without replacing the entire exhaust system. Installing a complete exhaust section is often more practical than performing multiple welding repairs on individual components such as resonators, flex pipes, or mufflers. During removal of old exhaust components additional work is often required due to rusted hardware, seized bolts, or damaged mounting studs. This may involve cleaning threads, re-cutting threads, or restoring mounting points. In some cases welding may also be required to repair connections or brackets. Each exhaust repair is different and depends on the vehicle design, the condition of the metal, and the location of the damaged section.
