Replacing hub bearings

Wheel hub bearings allow the wheel to rotate smoothly and are an important part of the vehicle's suspension system. Over time the bearing can wear out, producing a humming noise while driving or causing wheel play. On many modern vehicles the bearing is integrated into the wheel hub assembly, which means the entire hub must be replaced. However on some vehicles the bearing is installed separately and can be pressed in and out using a professional hydraulic press. In these cases the bearing itself can be replaced, which can significantly reduce repair costs for the customer.
