Replacing solenoids

Transmission solenoids control the flow of transmission fluid and are responsible for proper gear shifting. Over time they may become contaminated or fail, which can cause harsh shifting, delayed gear engagement, or transmission fault codes. At FIX SERVICE we first diagnose the transmission and test the solenoids before recommending replacement. The cost of this repair may vary depending on the transmission design, since many vehicles require removal of the transmission pan and the valve body to access the solenoids.
