Replacing the electric trunk drive

Power trunk actuators can fail over time due to frequent use. Surprisingly, this is a fairly common repair, especially on vehicles where the trunk is opened many times a day, such as taxis or heavily used vehicles. Over time the actuators, electric trunk latches, or related mechanisms may wear out or stop functioning properly.
