Replacing the expansion tank (Coolant Reservoir)
Coolant reservoir replacement
Coolant leak repair
Cooling system pressure check
Reservoir cap and hose inspection
The coolant expansion tank, also called the coolant reservoir, is part of the engine cooling system and helps maintain proper coolant level and system pressure. Over time the plastic reservoir can crack, begin to leak, or stop holding pressure correctly. When this happens the vehicle may lose coolant and the cooling system may no longer operate properly. In some cases the problem may be related not only to the tank itself but also to the cap or nearby connections. When replacing the reservoir we also check the sealing of the cooling system and inspect related components. Pricing depends on the vehicle design and access to the reservoir.
