  • System leak and pressure test

An oil cooler is designed to regulate engine oil temperature. On many modern engines this component is an oil-to-coolant heat exchanger, where engine oil flows on one side and engine coolant flows on the other side to transfer heat. Over time the cooler housing or its seals may begin to leak. In some cases this causes an external oil leak, and in other situations oil and coolant may mix inside the heat exchanger. At FIX SERVICE the process begins with a diagnostic inspection to determine the exact source of the leak. Once confirmed, the oil cooler or heat exchanger is replaced, new seals are installed, and the system is pressure tested to ensure proper sealing and operation.
