Resetting service intervals

At FIX SERVICE we reset the oil service interval free of charge whenever an engine oil change is performed. However modern vehicles are becoming increasingly complex in terms of electronics and software systems. Many manufacturers are moving service functions to dealer-level access. Starting around 2026 a growing number of vehicles are software-restricted, meaning that service functions cannot be accessed without specialized diagnostic equipment. This applies not only to engine oil service reminders but also to transmission service intervals, brake system service counters, and other maintenance reminders. In these situations dealer-level diagnostic tools and software access are required to properly reset the service system. The cost of these procedures may vary depending on the vehicle manufacturer and model and is determined individually.
