When removing exhaust system components on high-mileage vehicles, hardware problems are very common. Bolts, nuts, and studs are exposed to heat, moisture, and corrosion, which often causes them to seize, rust, strip, or break during removal. In these situations thread restoration or replacement of damaged fasteners is required. At FIX SERVICE we perform mechanical thread restoration using professional tapping tools and repair methods, and when necessary we also perform welding work to restore damaged mounting points.
