Tire replacement (re-mounting)

Tire replacement often looks like a simple job, but in practice it takes care and the right equipment. When a tire comes off, it is important not to damage the tire cord, scratch the rim or break the TPMS pressure sensors inside the wheel. Unfortunately, at some shops in New York inexperienced mechanics often damage TPMS sensors while removing the tire. At FIX SERVICE we dismount and mount tires carefully, use protective plastic tools and follow the correct procedure. After the tires are mounted, every wheel is balanced: it is an essential part of the job and affects ride comfort and safety. After installing new tires we also always recommend checking the wheel alignment and adjusting it if needed, so the tires wear evenly and the car handles correctly.
