A turbocharger operates under extremely high temperatures and requires a stable cooling system to function properly. In most engines the turbocharger is cooled by several systems at the same time - through engine oil circulation, coolant lines, and the charge air system that includes the intercooler. These systems involve multiple hoses, lines, and connections. If one of these lines becomes restricted, damaged, or begins to leak, the turbocharger may not receive proper cooling, which can lead to overheating and accelerated wear. For this reason turbocharger failure is not always caused by normal wear alone - it can also result from poor oil flow or insufficient coolant circulation. At FIX SERVICE we inspect the entire turbo cooling system, including hoses, lines, and connections, to identify the exact cause of the problem. Repair cost can vary depending on the engine design and the location of the turbocharger.
