Working with OEM software: Techstream, ODIS, IDS, ISTA, FDRS

In certain situations after a vehicle is unlocked or when keys are lost the vehicle may require proper key programming and immobilizer system recovery. These procedures are performed through official manufacturer software with secure online access to factory servers. This security layer is designed to prevent vehicle theft and unauthorized access. In some cases the system may require owner identification or access to protected dealer functions before programming can be completed. Because of these security protocols universal scan tools are not always capable of performing these procedures. OEM software platforms such as Techstream, ODIS, IDS, ISTA, and FDRS are used to complete the programming process. The final cost depends on the vehicle brand and the type of security system involved.
